I know girls are sometimes controlling and hate it when their boyfriends text other girls, but do boys hate it the other way around? Even if the girl has been in a relationship with the guy she is texting?

My lady does not text other guys, but if she did Id be curious and feel ” not okay ” with it.
Just ask her about it, and if she texts other guys often while she is with you then ask her about it.
they may be good friends but still … if she texts while she is with you all the time.. then that SUCKS
