Question by Matthew Swanson: how do I know if I should talk to a girl In my class?
So Im a sophmore in high school and there is a girl I like in awho is in a few of my classes. So far I have had barely any eye contact(when we do she doesnt smile I dont think) and she is kinda shy. Her friends are really outgoing and I dont think they like me. So far I have also been to scared to talk to her because I have no idea when to talk, what to say, etc.. I just want to know if any of you guys have advice for me on how I should go about doing this. I also am not the best at talking to girls who I dont know.

Personally I think you should get over her. She does not smile at you when you make eye contact and is not that out going. That already is not the kind of girl you want to be with, buuut anyways if you really want to get to know her, just start off with simple things like a smile. Whenever you do have eye contact, just flash her a quick smile or smirk, just to let her know that you are approachable and friendly. Since you said you are shy and not good at talking to girls, then you should take it slow. Start with smiles. If you happen to walk in class at the same time she does, just say hey. For you since you are shy, just keep the talks short and sweet. And as time progresses you will build up your confidence. And from there, it will go from “hey” to “hey, how is it going?” Also man, you said you have her in some classes, do the obvious and ask her about a class assignment…even if you know the answer to it. Trust me take my advice I am a 19 year old girl and I see and notice what guys do to get my attention or some other girl’s attention. You just have to put yourself out there. Well good luck!
