Q&A: Is it ok to mostly text a girl as opposed to talking to her on the phone?

Question by Nathan: Is it ok to mostly text a girl as opposed to talking to her on the phone?
As of now I don’t have a girlfriend. But when/if I do I want to know, Is it ok to mostly text a girl instead of talking on the phone? I’ve always been very nervous about talking to people on the phone, so I’d prefer to text. But this apparently comes across as being cold and detached. Please help!

This is just me, but I don’t really care if it’s call or text. As long as the guy talks to me SOME way, then I am fine. This is just me, however. All girls are different about that sort of thing.

  1. as long as you make it a point to call her every few days to remind her that you still care about her, and keep on texting her as usual, then you aren’t a cold person. girls just like being able to hear their guy’s voice and feel connected that way. when i first met my fiance, a year was spent mostly texting, which sucked cause it was a long-distance relationship and sometimes i had to almost beg him to call me. he just wasn’t a phone person. luckily now it isn’t long distance anymore, but since he made sure to text me whenever he could every day, it worked out. as long as a girl you end up with is fine with you texting more than calling (and you talk with her about the reasons why), then you should be Ok =)
